2026年度後期の九大下地理則ゼミでは、語性の類型論を扱うZoom演習「Toward a new typology of wordhood」を開催します。初回は10月6日、火曜3限（13:00–14:30）です。言語学専攻の学部生、大学院生および研究者の参加を歓迎します。輪読文献、演習の趣旨および申込方法は案内ページをご覧ください。

The Shimoji Lab at Kyushu University will hold the Zoom seminar “Toward a new typology of wordhood” in Fall 2026. The seminar begins on October 6 and meets Tuesdays, 13:00–14:30. Undergraduate and graduate students in linguistics, as well as researchers, are welcome. See the seminar page for the readings, aims, and registration details.

ブラウザ完結の音声注釈ツール「BLT（Browser-based Lightweight Toolkit for Editing Field Data）」が、ベータ版を卒業して正式な公開版になりました。波形上での区間づくりと取りこぼし検出、複数話者（話者ごとの別WAV読み込みにも対応）、テキスト・形態素・グロス・品詞の注釈、常設のIPAパレット、形態素辞書ビューと検索、そして ELAN の EAF をはじめ TSV・JSON・LaTeX（gb4e）・Word での書き出しまで、記述に必要な一式がブラウザだけで完結します（データは外部に送信されません）。
そして今回、見た目にはロック魂を注入しました。黒鉄とクリムゾンの配色、縞鋼板（ダイヤモンドプレート）のトップパネル、稲妻の「L」を持つクロームのロゴ——見た目はヘビーメタル、中身はまじめな記述言語学のツールです。こちらからご利用いただけます（紹介はドキュメンテーション・グロスづけ支援のページにもあります）。DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20707256。

BLT (Browser-based Lightweight Toolkit for Editing Field Data) has left beta and is now a full release. Segment utterances on the waveform (with missed-speech detection), work with multiple speakers (including one WAV per speaker), annotate text, morphemes, glosses and parts of speech, use the docked IPA palette, browse and search the morpheme lexicon, and export to ELAN's EAF as well as TSV, JSON, LaTeX (gb4e) and Word — all in the browser, with your data never leaving it.
This release also comes with rock spirit: gunmetal and crimson, a diamond-plate top panel, and a chrome wordmark whose "L" is a lightning bolt — heavy metal on the outside, serious descriptive linguistics on the inside. 地名を含む日本語テクストを貼り付けるだけで、注釈付きの白地図（SVG/PNG）を3案自動生成するツール「テクスト→地図ジェネレーター」を公開しました。約19万件の地名辞書（市区町村・町字・駅名・島・旧市町村・沖縄の間切）と国土数値情報の行政区域ポリゴンに基づいており、「◯◯方言は△△市と□□島で話されている」のような分布の記述をそのまま論文用の地図にできます。生成後はラベルや点をドラッグで動かす・書き換える・消すといった編集がその場ででき、データは外部に送信されずブラウザ内で完結します。紹介ページはこちら、開発の経緯や生成AIとの精度比較は解説記事（note）をご覧ください。ツールにはDOIを付与しています（10.5281/zenodo.21766019）。

We have launched the Text-to-Map Generator, a fully browser-based tool that turns Japanese text containing place names into three annotated base maps (SVG/PNG). Built on a gazetteer of about 190,000 place names (municipalities, small districts, stations, islands, former municipalities, and Okinawan magiri) and administrative-boundary polygons from the National Land Numerical Information, it renders statements like "the ◯◯ dialect is spoken in △△ City and □□ Island" as publication-ready maps. Labels and dots can be dragged, rewritten, or deleted directly on the map after generation, and your data never leaves the browser. ELANやFLExよりも使いやすく、軽く、拡張性が高く、ダウンロード不要（ブラウザ完結）の音声注釈ツール「BLT（Browser-based Lightweight Toolkit for Editing Field Data）」を公開しました。音声を波形上で区切り、テキスト・形態素・グロス・品詞を注釈してELANのEAF形式に書き出せます。データは外部に送信されずブラウザ内で完結します。こちらからご利用いただけます（紹介はドキュメンテーション・グロスづけ支援のページにもあります）。※ 本ツールはその後、ベータ版を卒業して公開版になりました（2026年8月22日のお知らせをご覧ください）。

We have launched BLT (Browser-based Lightweight Toolkit for Editing Field Data), a speech-annotation tool designed to be easier to use, lighter, more extensible, and download-free (fully browser-based) than ELAN or FLEx. Segment audio on the waveform, annotate each segment with text, morphemes, glosses, and parts of speech, and export to ELAN's EAF format. Your data never leaves the browser.
